Vinous Antonio Galloni - 18 Oct 22
The 2018 Barolo is relatively soft (for a Monforte Barolo), aromatic and ready to provide pleasure with minimal cellaring. Spice, cedar, tobacco, incense and dark red fruit all meld together nicely in this attractive Barolo from Diego Conterno. All the elements are so well-balanced

The Wine Independent Susan Hulme - 13 Jul 22
The 2018 Diego Conterno Barolo has softly smoky, sweet tobacco spice notes. The finish is medium-bodied, soft, round and juicy, with nicely refined tannins. It does not have huge concentration but is very nicely balanced, enjoyable and approachable. Drink 2022 to 2029.

Barolo Vineyard Fine Wine

Barolo

Barolo, the "King of Wines," is a prestigious red from Piedmont, Italy, made exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes. Known for deep complexity, Barolo offers rich flavours of dark cherries, roses, truffles, and spices, with high acidity and firm tannins. It ages exceptionally well, evolving in depth and nuance. Barolo's diverse terroirs create a range of styles, from powerful to delicate. Top producers include Gaja, Bruno Giacosa, Giuseppe Rinaldi, and Marchesi di Barolo, all of whom exemplify Barolo's tradition and quality.
